MUSLIM ANTI-SEMITISM
Historically, Islam has been, and still is, an "equal opportunity" purveyor of genocide. Over the centuries, its Hindu and Persian victims number in hundreds of millions, many times over the victims of the Hitler’s Holocaust. Christians, Buddhists, and other religions have also contributed their fair share of corpses, and continue to do so to this day. However, for this brief, we will limit Islam’s crimes only to those against the Jewish people, which started over 1,300 years ago. In the twisted reasoning of Muslims, they believe they have every right for their hatred of Jews.
Muhammad’s, and therefore Islam’s hatred of Jews, had its start in Medina. He had fled there, with a handful of followers in 622 A.D. This is the famous Hegira, revered by all Muslims. Upon arrival, he soon gained political control of the town and started a courtship of Jews and Christians, in attempts to obtain converts to his newly invented religion. Indeed, his first revelations, from Allah, were courteous and complimentary to both Christians and Jews. He called them, along with Zoroastrians, "The People of the Book." While in Medina, he even had his followers turn in the direction of Jerusalem, instead of Mecca, for daily prayers.
Less than three years after taking absolute control of Medina, he initiated a reign of terror. The general population was given the options of conversion to Islam, fleeing for their lives, or losing their heads. But, even in this first recorded massacre of Islam, against largely unarmed civilians, the Jews were spared. This changed three years later, after Muhammad was able to sustain a brief siege of a large army from Mecca. With this victory, he knew that he would soon be able to return to his native city in triumph.
Muhammad had previously made a treaty with the last Jewish tribe of Medina, but after the battle, he accused them of conspiring with the Meccans and decided to rid himself of their remaining population. The Jews were given a last chance to convert to Islam or die. To their credit, most refused and the carnage began. Historical estimates vary, but somewhere between 700 and 900 Jewish men of all ages were beheaded, including boys that had reached puberty; decapitated in front of their families! Older women, unsuitable as slaves or for the harem, were also killed. Small children of both sexes, and the more attractive women were spared, at least from the beheading!
The slaughter took so many hours that torches were lighted and the carnage continued throughout the night. Then, in the morning, an orgy of rape began. Muhammad selected one Jewess for his own harem, Raihana 'bint Amr. No historical record has enlightened us as to her state of mind of being raped by the man responsible for the decapitation of her husband and other males of her family a few hours earlier.
Once Muhammad had resigned himself to the fact that Jews were not going to embrace him as God's, or Allah's last and greatest prophet, a litany of abusive "revelations" poured forth. The following are a few of many.
"Thus have they drawn on themselves wrath upon wrath, and humiliating is the punishment of those who reject faith." (2:90)
"But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increased in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them we have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief." (5:64)
"Those who reject faith (in Allah), neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They will be companions of the fire (Hell), dwelling therein forever." (3:116)
"And those of the People of the book who aided them—Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts, so that some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners. And he made you heirs of their lands, their houses, and their goods, and of a land which ye had not frequented before. And Allah has power over all things."
(33:26-27)
Two recurring themes of the entire Koran are Muhammad’s hatred of the Jews, and his desire for their wealth. Before his death, Muhammad developed the blueprint for Muslim expansion. He had reasoned that corpses have little value, but conquered people can be a source of considerable income, year after year. He invented the "jisyah", or pole tax, an amount paid yearly by each person of the conquered lands. It was supposedly to exempt men of the conquered societies from military service, and to pay for the protection of the conquered societies. Logic suggests that the people of the conquered lands had little need of protection from enemies other than Muslims, and Islam certainly had no need of unskilled recruits of dubious loyalties. Then, the "haraj", or land tax, was levied against all lands of conquered societies. These two taxes furthered the rapid expansion of Islam. The Jewish people, due to their thriftiness and skill at commerce, were the unwilling but prime contributors to Islam’s rapid expansion.
Though there were periods when the Jews could live in relative peace with their conquerors, their position was always of that of second hand citizens, or "dhimmis", under continuous exploitation. An excerpt from "The Sword of the Prophet", by Serge Triflovic, is as follows:
"Mass murders of Jewish "protected people" started in Morocco as early as the
eighth century, where Idris The First wiped out whole communities. A century later,
Bagdad’s Caliph al-Mutawakkil, designated a yellow badge for Jews, setting a
precedent that would be followed centuries later in Nazi Germany. Synagogues
were destroyed throughout Mesopotamia in 854 – 859. In Libya, then known as
Tripolitania, Jews were considered as property of their Arab masters, who would
bequeath the Jews to their heirs upon death. In the twelfth century, Egyptian Jews
were the object of anti-dhimmi riots so successful that one observer noted the
Jewish population had 'greatly declined' in their wake. On the other side of the
Muslim empire, on December 10, 1066, Joseph Ha Nagid, the Jewish vizier of
Granada, was crucified by an Arab mob that proceeded to raze the Jewish quarter
of the city and slaughter its 5,000 inhabitants! Muslim preachers, who had angrily
objected to what they saw as inordinate Jewish political power, incited the riot.
And those were the most civilized Muslims in history, in Baghdad, at the peak
of one Islamic "golden age", and in Spain at the peak of another."
The above gives a small indication of the genocide conducted against the Jews over the centuries, often planned, but just as often spontaneous.
The situation of the Jews in Arab countries reached a low point in the nineteenth century. In all of North Africa they were forced to live in ghettos, and in Morocco, which at the time had the largest Jewish population of Islam, they were forced to go barefoot or with only straw sandals when outside the ghettos. Near the close of the century, the Sultan of Morocco forced Jews to work on the Sabbath and ordered that they could only clean latrines and other foul places. Among other indignities, they were ordered to part with any merchandise sold to a Muslim at half price and even accept counterfeit coins in payments. Even today, in urban areas of Egypt, the Coptic Christians are generally denied access to normal employment; their main livelihood depends on performing menial jobs such as being the rag pickers and garbage collectors of Cairo’s filthy streets.
In the early part of the twentieth century, as Zionism awakened, the Muslims, for the first time since Muhammad’s day, found themselves in a position of weakness relative to Jews. Though in constant decline for several centuries, principally due to Islam’s rejection of learning, and the ability of more advanced civilizations to defend them selves, the defeat of The Ottoman Empire marked a new low in the fortunes of Muslims. The Ottoman Empire had made the mistake of siding with Germany in World War I and after the war was carved into various smaller states by the Balfour Agreement, which was forced on the defeated Turks by Great Britain and France. Though largely unknown by the general public, this Agreement made provision of a home for the Palestinians in what is now Jordan, but this part of the Agreement was never implemented. Thus, to a large extent, the British are responsible for the present situation in the Middle East, i.e.- the "Palestinian" problem.
With Great Britain in control, and maintaining order of the area known then as Palestine, thousands of Jews, mostly from Europe, returned to their native homeland in the 1920’s and 1930’s. They started buying land, often paying exorbitant prices to the local Arabs, descendants of those that had stolen a considerable amount of these same lands from Jews and Christians centuries before. Then, from what the ignorant local Muslims considered as worthless desert, the Jews made it bloom, adding even more fuel to Muslim hatred of the Jews.
As Hitler’s solution for the Jews started to take shape in Europe, the Fuehrer found a valuable ally in Haj Muhammad Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, the most
powerful religious leader of Islam at the time. In 1941 the Mufti called for Jihad against
Britain, and traveled to Berlin. In November of 1941 he met with Hitler and promised full cooperation with the Nazis. He contributed substantially to the German war effort, making radio broadcasts preaching hate for the Jews, setting up spy networks throughout the Middle East, and recruited several hundred Muslims from Kosovo and Bosnia as members of the S.S. Brigades in the Balkans. The Mufti spent considerable time in Berlin, urging the Nazis on in their extermination of Jews. He was instrumental in blocking the escape of Jews from Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Initially, Hitler had intended to allow Jews of these three countries to leave. The Mufti also suggested Poland as a destination for European Jewry, and their subsequent extermination. Hitler acted on the suggestion and some of the death camps were established in Poland. Heinrich Himmler, the principal architect of the Jewish Holocaust, was fascinated with Islam and made it the unofficial religion of the S.S. He hated the softness of Christianity and saw Islam as a masculine and martial religion, whose members were more in tune with the S.S. commitment to blind obedience and ferocity against their enemies. The Muslims certainly qualified in both respects.
The Mufti was re-established as head of the Palestinian Arabs after the War, and continued to preach Jihad against the Jews. And, the Jews, immediately after the War, with the dream of again inhabiting their homeland, started a wave of clandestine migration to Palestine. They would charter small freighters from various ports around the Mediterranean and try to slip under British blockades attempting to turn them back. Eventually, when strong enough, they started a guerrilla war against the British, who were still occupying Palestine. In 1948, the British decided to withdraw and let the area sort out its own problems. This set the stage for the immediate creation of Israel in May of 1948. As soon as the British withdrew, the Mufti called on all Muslims to take to the streets and kill the Jews. The Jews however, after three years of fighting the British, well organized and well armed, made brief work of the Mufti’s Jihad. The Mufti then called on Muslims to leave, to continue their jihad from outside the country. The Israelis did not exile the Palestinian Arabs; that was the Mufti’s mandate. The Jews were willing to share their regained homeland with the Arabs, and to this day several hundred thousand Arabs live in Israel enjoying the same social services of the Israeli Government as the Jews.
The thousands of Arabs, who left for other surrounding countries, mostly Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, found themselves as second-class citizens, not really wanted by their new host countries. There, they continued their festering hatred against the Jews. Their grandchildren now provide some of the recruits for Arab terrorism throughout the world, and many of the suicide bombers.
Though seldom making their way into the U.S. and international media, rabid news articles frothing hatred for the Jews is commonplace. Consider these examples:
From the June 2001 edition of Al-Ahram, the most influential newspaper of
Cairo, and the semi-official voice of the Egyptian Government: An article
entitled, "What Exactly Do the Jews Want" reads: "The Jews share boundless
hatred of the gentiles, they kill women and children and sow destruction….
Israel is totally populated by people who are not descendants of the Children
of Israel, but rather a mixture of slaves, Aryans, and the remnants of the Khazars,
and they are not Semites. In other words, people without an identity, whose
only purpose is blackmail, theft, and control over property and land, with the
assistance of the Western countries." [Editorial Note: The Kazars were of a
kingdom of the Caucasus region and many converted to Judaism and other
religions during the seventh and eighth centuries.]
From the second most influential Cairo newspaper, Al-Akhbar, on April 18, 2001,
an even more virulent attack: "Our thanks go to the late Hitler, who wrought,
in advance, the vengeance of the Palestinians upon the most despicable villains
on the face of the earth. However, we rebuke Hitler for the fact that the vengeance
was insufficient."
Immediately after September 11, 2001, influential Muslims, as well as news media throughout the Muslim world rushed to blame Israel for the attacks. Some articles said that the attacks were planned and carried out by the Israeli Secret Service; others stated that not a single Jew of the thousands working at the Trade Towers had died because they were told to stay at home. Such ridiculous lies would be humorous if not concerning such a tragedy. But, the greater tragedy is that many Muslims, at all levels of education and sophistication, are so willing to believe such lies.
In 1941 there were over a million Jews in the Arab World; today there are only a few thousand. Most migrated to other countries; the balance fell victim to forced conversion to Islam or death.
In the Europe of the 30’s and 40’s, Anti-Semitism, at least in its extreme form, was largely confined to Germany and Russia. However, in today’s Europe, Anti-Semitism is drastically on the increase in every country. Various factors are involved, including the marked decline of Christian births, the staggering birthrate of Muslims, the European Union’s dependence on Middle East oil and the cheap labor of Muslim immigrants and their descendants. But, the principal factor leading to the new wave of Anti-Semitism has been the willingness of European states to submerge their own nationalism for the benefit of Islam. European politicians, over the last thirty years have, either through their ignorance or avarice, set in place policies which have led to an inordinate influence by Muslims in the internal and external policies of their countries. Nowhere is this more evident than in the curricula of their school systems, at every level. The United States is not far behind; there are thousands of schools teaching Islam as a required subject, at the various levels, from kindergarten through university; the same schools not allowing the teaching of Christianity, upon which our nation was founded.
With the present situation existent in Europe, it will be only a matter of time before the Jews will be asked to leave.
