HOLY JIHAD
Everyone has heard of Jihad, or Muslim "Holy War", but few Westerners understand, or attempt to understand, its meaning. Islam and Jihad are inseparable and an excellent understanding of both, can be obtained through verses from the Koran and Hadith.
Jihad means simply to kill or subjugate all infidels. An "infidel" is any non-Muslim, and that’s you, unless a Muslim! That was Allah's (Muhammad's) mandate, and it has not changed in over 1,350 years. Every utterance of Muhammad, regardless of how mundane, or seemingly insignificant, is revered by Muslims, as a direct and immutable message from Allah. Regardless of attempts to dissimulate the meaning of Jihad, the message remains the same; KILL (OR SUBJUGATE) ALL INFIDELS!
The below quotes from the Koran are followed by a notation referring to the chapter and verse where located, and passages from the Hadith are identified.
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jisyah (Poll Tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." (9:29)
"Remember thy Lord inspired the Angels with the message: I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: Smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them." (8:12)
"When we decide to destroy a population, we first send a definite order to those among them who are given the good things of this life and yet transgress, so that the Word (Allah’s word) is proved true against them; then we destroy them utterly." (17:16)
"Therefore, when ye meet the unbelievers in fight, smite at their necks; at length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly on them; thereafter is the time for either generosity or ransom; until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are ye commanded; but if it had been Allah’s Will, he could certainly have exacted retribution from them Himself; but He lets you fight in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the name of Allah—He will never let their deeds be lost. Soon will he guide them and improve their condition, and admit them to The Garden which He has announced for them." (47:4-6)
"It is not fitting for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land." (8:67) Note: Some Koranic translations use the words "slaughter in the land."
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war." (9:5)
"Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid (Allah’s warriors) in His cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty." (Hadith)
"I am the Prophet that laughs as I kill my enemies." (Hadith)
The above is not empty rhetoric; all of the above are direct messages from Allah, and a true Muslim not following the above mandates, when enjoined to do so, is considered to be an apostate, punishable by death!
Soon after initial consolidation of power, Muhammad reasoned that corpses are worth very little. Thus, after a society had suffered an initial conquest, and the normal orgy of slaughter, rape, and enslavement had subsided, what Muhammad called "the surrender of the tongue" might be available to the survivors. This referred to sparing lives of the conquered if they would give lip service as to becoming Muslims. Muhammad well knew that with the destruction of all churches, synagogues, and temples, combined with forced instruction in the Koran for children of the conquered societies and a death sentence for backsliders, subsequent generations of the conquered territories would be Muslim. The Balkans is a perfect example of a legacy evolving from the "surrender of the tongue".
For those following the Muslim "party line" that Jihad is but ancient history, here are more recent quotes of Muslims, some from within the U.S.:
"Islam must rule the world and until Islam does rule the world we will continue to sacrifice our lives." This statement was made on CNN, September 19, 2001, just eight days after 9/11, by Mustaq Aksari, a spokesman for Al-Badr, a subversive Islamic movement still active in the United States.
"A decree of death has been passed on America. The judgment of God has been rendered, and she must be destroyed." By: Louis Farrakhan in 1997 In Harlem.
The words of Ayatollah Khomeini, the Muslim cleric who assumed power after the Shah of Iran was deposed in 1979, perhaps best illustrate the soul of Jihad.
"Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled or
incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of other countries so that
the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. ….. But those who study
Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world….
Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those
who say this are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would
kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured
by the unbelievers? Islam says: Kill them (the non-Muslims), put them to the
sword and scatter them (their armies). Does this mean sitting back until they (non-
Muslims) overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may
want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender to the enemy? Islam
says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the
sword! People cannot be made obedient except by the sword! The sword is the
key to Paradise, which can be opened only for the Holy Warriors! There are
hundreds of other psalms (of the Koran) and Hadiths urging Muslims to value war
and to fight. Does all this mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging
war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim."
Since the Ayatollah made the speech, from which the above was taken, he has since passed on to his just reward. If Allah’s (Muhammad’s) Heaven exists, he is presently consorting with 72 virgins and being served delicacies on golden dishes by handsome youths. On the other hand, he could presently be resident in a considerably warmer place.
Though not of its choice, the entire civilized world is locked in mortal combat with Islam, through its Holy Jihad. By their blind obedience to the word of Allah (Muhammad), true Muslims have no choice in the matter. It is time for non-Muslims to realize that there can be no accommodation with Islam except complete surrender and a life under Shari'a law.
